Buff and Shine Rigid Grip Backing Plate 7in

Buff and Shine 1938HD 7-inch Backing Plate provides a hook-and-loop mounting surface for compatible polishing pads on a rotary machine. Match the 5/8"-11 connection and plate size to your tool before ordering.

Key Benefits:

• 7-inch nominal backing-plate size
• 5/8"-11 threaded connection
• Built for rotary polishing setups
• Hook-and-loop face supports quick pad changes

Goes Great With:

Finish the setup with a compatible pad and clean residue-removal towels. Check the backing and machine requirements before fitting any pad.

• TDS 400 GSM Utility Towel | 24-Pack
• TDS 1400 GSM Hybrid Waffle Microfiber Towel 2-Pack

How to Use:

1. Disconnect the polisher from power before changing the plate.
2. Check the machine manual for the required thread, backing-plate size and speed limit. Thread size alone does not establish compatibility with every polisher.
3. Fit and secure the plate following the polisher instructions. Do not force a mismatched thread.
4. Center a compatible pad with the correct loop backing and adequate edge coverage. Inspect the plate and pad before starting.
5. Stop if vibration, looseness or damage occurs. Follow the lowest applicable speed rating for the machine, plate and pad.
