Which program should I apply for?


Choose the path that best matches what you do right now. The Pro Program is for working detailers looking for better buying options and professional support. The Distribution Network is for resellers, retailers, route trucks, or businesses that want to move product at volume. The Vendor Program is for brands or manufacturers that want TDS to consider carrying, testing, promoting, or distributing their products. The TDS Creator Program is for creators, influencers, and detailers with an audience who want to create content and earn through tracked creator links.

Do I need a business license or resale certificate?

For Pro, Distribution, and Vendor applications, business documentation may be required so we can verify the right fit and protect the program. Depending on the path, that may include a business license, resale certificate, registered business information, or proof that you operate in the detailing, retail, distribution, or manufacturing space. Creator applicants do not need a resale certificate, but they should have at least one active social platform

Do creators have to buy from TDS before applying?

No. You do not have to purchase from That Detail Shop before applying. That said, it does help when creators understand our products, our community, and the type of detailing content we care about. We are looking for authentic creators who can represent products honestly, not people who are just looking for a random affiliate link

How do creator commissions and payouts work?

Approved creators can earn commission through tracked creator links. When someone shops through your link and the order qualifies, the commission is tracked through the creator program platform. Payouts are handled through the program, so compensation is managed in a clear and organized way instead of being treated like an informal side deal.

How long does application review take?

Applications are reviewed manually. We look at the information provided, the program you selected, and whether it seems like a strong fit for TDS. If your application looks like a fit, we will reach out with next steps or ask for any additional details we need. Review time can vary depending on application volume.

Can I apply if I’m just getting started?

Yes. You do not need to be the biggest shop, creator, or business in the industry to apply. We care more about seriousness, consistency, honesty, and whether there is a real fit. If you are actively building, doing good work, and have a clear reason you want to partner with TDS, we want to hear from you.

Can one business apply for more than one program?

Yes. Some applicants may fit more than one path. For example, a professional detailer may also create content, or a retail business may also be interested in distribution opportunities. Start with the program that best matches your main goal right now. If there is a better fit, we can point you in the right direction.

What makes a strong application?

A strong application is clear, honest, and specific. Tell us what you do, who you serve, where you are active, and how you want to grow. Include working links when requested, use real business or creator information, and explain why you think TDS is the right partner. We are not looking for perfect answers. We are looking for people who take the work seriously.
